We are currently looking for a freelance Legal Expert to expand our immigration team!
Job Description:
- Providing legal advice and support to companies and expats in international employment situations, with a focus on immigration and social security matters.
- Prepare and submit immigration applications (e.g. single permits, work permits, professional cards, visas, family reunification, residence permits, permanent residence, nationality).
- Project management of the immigration projects: coordinating closely with clients, expats, Be Welcome Consultants and government authorities, keeping expectations and timings aligned.
- Staying up-to-date with legislative changes.
Skills & Expertise:
- Master degree in Law (Belgium)
- Strong knowledge and/or experience in Belgian immigration & social security law.
Qualifications:
- Experience in immigration and social security
- Language skills: Dutch – French – English (fluently speaking and writing)
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills, multi-tasking, independent decision maker
- Team player: willing to collaborate closely and share knowledge
- Good planning and administration skills
- Client-focused, comfortable interacting with Senior mgt levels
- Proficient with Word / Excel
- 3-5 years working experience is a plus
- Experience with expats/foreigners or having lived abroad yourself is a plus
